Cotons are usually a very good choice of companion for the allergy sufferer as their coat is relatively dander free. Shedding in minimal in companion animals, provided that your Coton is routinely groomed. We have had many new families that have a member who has severe allergies that are not affected by the new Coton addition to their family. In fact, sometimes if the Coton is joining the family soon after the loss of previous pet, the person with pet alleriges will note that their symptons vastly improve or even resolve themselves if they are only around their new Coton as opposed to being around other breeds of dogs.
